Dan Forche

General Manager, Commercial Laboratory Services


Mr. Forche has more than 18 years of experience with medical device, laboratory services and molecular testing companies. Throughout his career, he has grown divisions and companies and launched or rebranded products and services. Prior to joining CYNOGEN, he was senior vice president of sales and marketing for CombiMatrix Corporation, a national provider of molecular diagnostic services. In earlier roles, he was a senior vice president of sales and marketing with Agendia Inc., a Dutch genomics company for which he built the US sales, marketing, operations and managed care teams; a senior vice president of sales and marketing with Insight Health Group; vice president of marketing and oncology sales with US Labs; and a worldwide marketing manager with Ventana Medical Systems. Mr. Forche’s career in global health care began with Abbott Laboratories Diagnostics Division in various sales and marketing positions. He received a BSBA degree in marketing from Central Michigan University’s School of Business.

 

 


 

 

Maher Badir, MD, FCAP, FASCP

Medical Director, CYNOGEN


Dr. Badir has been in private pathology practice since 1989. He has held medical leadership positions in, or provided pathology coverage for, some of the country’s largest reference laboratories. He has extensive experience in both surgical pathology and cytology.


After graduating with honors from the University of Alexandria School of Medicine (Egypt), Dr. Badir completed a rotating internship and received a first part Master of Surgery degree from that institution. He completed his residency in anatomic and clinical pathology and was named chief resident in the pathology department at Kettering Medical Center in Dayton, Ohio. In addition, he completed a fellowship in surgical pathology and fine needle aspiration biopsy at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, Texas, where he currently serves as an assistant instructor. Dr. Badir holds an American Board of Pathology Certification in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology.


A fellow of the College of American Pathologists and the American Society of Clinical Pathologists, Dr. Badir is a member of the U.S. and Canadian branch of the International Academy of Pathologists. He is licensed to practice medicine in California, Texas and Ohio and holds a New York State Department of Health Certificate of Qualification.  

 

 


 

 

Husam F. Hamati, MD, FCAP

Medical Pathology Consultant

 

Dr. Hamati is the chairman of pathology with Mercy Health Partners in Scranton, Pennsylvania; chief of pathology and laboratory director with Bloomsburg Hospital; and chief of pathology and laboratory director with Sunbury Community Hospital. He completed a fellowship in cytology/molecular pathology at the Medical College of Pennsylvania, University of Pennsylvania; and a pathology residency and postdoctoral fellowship in cell biology at Geisinger Medical Center. He graduated from the College Medical School of Comenius University in Bratislava, Czechoslovakia. He is cytopathology board-certified and AP/CP board-certified by the American Board of Pathology. The recipient of numerous grants and awards, Dr. Hamati is a frequent presenter and widely published.


 

 


 

 

Yelina Noskina, PhD

Manager of Client Services, Training and Development, CYNOGEN

 

Dr. Noskina received her PhD in Biochemistry from Rush University in Chicago, thereafter spending time as a post-doctoral fellow in the Neonatalogy Department at Northwestern University and in the Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences at the University of Illinois at Chicago. In both fellowships, Dr. Noskina examined cell signaling pathways and protein associations. In 2004, she joined Abbott Molecular as a technical support specialist on Vysis products, providing training and troubleshooting for all Vysis IVD products, specifically UroVysion and PathVysion. As the technical team leader covering the central region of the United States, Dr. Noskina developed training programs on Abbott Molecular products and general molecular biology and oncology knowledge. A company expert on FISH, she traveled to customer sites in the U.S. and abroad to offer her training and troubleshooting expertise. In 2010, Dr. Noskina joined CYNOGEN to serve as the technical scientist to provide guidance and technical support to the clinical laboratory and its customers.

 

 


 

 

Marguerite M. Salam-Host, MD

Medical Pathology Consultant

 

Dr. Salam-Host is the medical director of Mercy Tyler Hospital in Tunkhannock, Pennsylvania; the medical director, Pathology Consultative Services in Dallas, Pennsylvania; and an associate pathologist with Susquehana Pathology at Mercy Hospital. She has served as a consulting pathologist, staff pathologist and medical director for a number of prominent medical centers. Dr. Salam-Host holds a Master of Health Administration from Wilkes University (Pennsylvania); has completed a fellowship in cytopathology at the Geisinger Medical Center (Pennsylvania); was chief co-resident at Pennsylvania State University M.S. Hershey Medical Center; and received a doctor of medicine from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. Board certified in anatomic and clinical pathology, Dr. Salam-Host is well published and has received numerous awards and honors.

 

 


 

 

Jess Savala, Jr., MD

Medical Pathology Consultant

 

Dr. Savala joined PLUS Diagnostics in 2009 as Director of Hematopathology from Genzyme Genetics (Los Angeles), where he was the Director of Hematology for the Physician Services and Analytical Services divisions. Previously, Dr. Savala was responsible for the medical directorship of numerous satellite cytogenetic laboratory locations of US Labs, before becoming Medical Director in 2006. Dr. Savala holds a BS in biology and microbiology from Loma Linda University and a MD from Loma Linda University School of Medicine. He completed his pathology residency at Loma Linda. He finished his education with a hematopathology fellowship at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center (Los Angeles) in the Department of Clinical Pathology. Dr. Savala is board certified in anatomic and clinical pathology and hematology.
